Please note this lecture takes place on a different date than the normal planed lectures. The event is on Tuesday, July 11, 2017.
As a Scripps marine biologist, Dr. Daniel Cartamil has traveled the Pacific coast of Baja California for over a decade, studying the region's sharks and shark fisheries. There, he discovered a fragile paradise of remote landscapes, wildlife, and cultural treasures, on the verge of being overtaken by modern civilization. Science and art converge as we take a photographic journey through western Baja California illustrated with breathtaking photography from Cartamil’s new book, Baja’s Wild Side.
Doors open at 6:30; lecture lasts at 7-8 p.m.
