5401 Linda Vista Road, Suite 406, San Diego, California 92110
To celebrate the 25th anniversary of Home Brew Mart, we have been brewing a series of Family Reunion Collaboration Beers. Join us for a Beer Dinner on 8/24 to celebrate our collabs with Eppig Brewing, Fieldwork Brewing Company, and 32 North Brewing Co. at our Family Reunion Beer Dinner on 8/24!
We are getting the Family back together to enjoy/release these collaborations, relive fond memories, and drink some of Colby, Nate, Clayton, Alex, and Nick's favorite BP beers paired with delicious cuisine.
Here is a little sneak peak of the brews…
SCRIPPS TEASE / Eppig Brewing Collaboration: An Extra Special Bitter with toasted oats and coffee. Dark orange in color and bright, it features aromas of coffee, but no acrid roast.
Nate Stephens and Clayton LeBlanc were both brewers at Ballast Point Brewing Company. Nate was the lead brewer at Ballast Point: Little Italy, and Clayton brewed at Ballast Point: Scripps Ranch.
BAY TO BAY / Fieldwork Brewing Company Collaboration: A Black California Common with 100% Mosaic Hops. The appearance is inky black with a slight red hue and fluffy almost white foam. Aroma is unexpected with huge notes of ripe pineapple, lemon, green tea and the funky dank tang of Mosaic.
Alex Tweet won a Ballast Point Home Brew contest with Indra Kunindra; he brewed for the first time at Home Brew Mart when we recreated that winning brew. He then became a brewer at Ballast Point: Scripps Ranch. He left to brew at Modern Times before moving to Berkeley and opening Fieldwork Brewing Co.
SWEMICEROS / 32 North Brewing Co. Collaboration: A Hoppy Kolsch, dry hopped with fruity, citrusy, and herbal type hops. Think lighter California Kolsch, but heavier in alcohol (6%). Nick Ceniceros was production brewer at Ballast Point: Scripps Ranch before moving to Fall Brewing, then to 32 North.
We'd like you to join us at the place where it all began, sharing the stories and passion that got us here, 25 years later.
