Kick off your summer weekends in style every Friday evening at Balboa Park’s hottest after-hours event. Visitors of all ages can enjoy musical entertainment while eating gourmet dishes from a rotating selection of more than a dozen food trucks parked on the Plaza de Panama and El Prado walkway from 4:00 to 8:30 pm.
Entertainment: 5pm to 7:50pm: Gator by the Bay/Bon Temps Social Club presents Chet and the Committee, a crowd-favorite, good-time swinging blues band with 20 years' live stage experience, featuring Steady Fred Lawson, Preacher Don Jaszewski, Mighty Mike Kirkpatrick, and Chet Cannon and a surprise guest or two. Swing your partner on the Plaza de Panama's wooden dance floor, brought in specially for the occasion.
XEWT TV will host an activity booth with a prize wheel.

— Food Truck Friday presents music and family fun each Friday night in the Plaza de Panama. The Plaza’s “living room” setup is rolled out, including a large artificial lawn for children to play on, a giant checkers set, and oversized beanbags; and various park organizations host hands-on activities. In addition, event sponsors KyXy 96.5, Energy 103.7 and XEWT 12 will be on hand on select Friday evenings with music and games for families. The adjacent San Diego Museum of Art will continue to offer $5 admission prices to all visitors after 5:00 p.m. on Friday nights, and the Mingei International Museum will also offer $5 admission after 5:00 p.m. beginning July 7.
