WETWARE (Dais Records, BANK Records NYC) — Live
«Wetware are for the Techno heads, Noise and Experimental heads, and a crowd who have been waiting for a live performance for too long. Wetware’s live set is pure energy. The front woman Roxy Farman charges the crowd and gets in your face. Roxy can also be found writhing on the floor. Matthew Morandi is in the back serving up poly rhythmic tracks on his modular synth, which sounds more like a gamelan than the standard bleeps we all have heard. The track “Fuck Them All” is an accurate reflection of the live sound of Salpinx. Give it a listen and go see them play.» — From the writeup for their record Salpinx on the Dais Website.
ENTRO SENESTRE (Bank NYC, LIES Records News, Dekmantel) — DJ Set
It's hard to think of many labels with as deep an impact on Surface Tension as Bank NYC. Every release has been essential and the list of artists that we have booked on the Bank roster keeps growing. Entro also makes unbelievably sublime techno, with releases on L.I.E.S., W.T. Records, Dekmantel and most recently on his own label as part of the duo Daywalker and C.F. His DJ sets are a cornerstone of the Brooklyn underground, and we can't wait to see what he plays for us.
