The enlightenment story of the Buddha is an archetypal Journey that began over 2500 years ago. Born Siddhartha Gotama, prince of the Sakyan clan, it was predicted that he would become either a great warrior king or a great religious leader. His father, a warrior king himself, didn't want Siddhartha become a religious leader so he prevented him from from witnessing any suffering, for fear that compassion would rise in him. This plan worked for 29 years until our story's hero saw the 4 divine messengers… reminders really of the suffering in the world. Aroused by a great compassion for all beings, Siddhartha then set out on the Great Quest to relieve himself of all suffering, which he did, and then brought this message to a myriad of people over a 45 year teaching career. A teaching that still exists today as a messenger to the end of suffering that is possible for all beings. Don't miss this amazing story.
