Join us Tuesday, March 13th as we travel to the Tijuana side of the US/Mexico border fence where the 8 ugly Trump prototypes are located, as we stand up and speak out against Donald Trump as he visits these border wall prototypes.
Since the first border fence went up in 1994, there have been estimated over 11,000 deaths from migrants crossing into the United States, as they have been funneled into the harsh desert and mountains that are along the US/Mexico border where fences are missing or so short you can walk right over/through them.
“Prevention Through Deterrence” was created, and to this day, a migrant will die every 1-2 days while crossing into the United States through dangerous areas where there is no fence/short fence, and no intention on having a fence. We will speak up and let the world know that with a creation of a taller border wall (in the existing area that already has a fence) this will push more people to their death by crossing in the harsh environments.
We will be holding and showing crosses that represent those migrants who have perished while making their journey into the United States. This will be a peaceful demonstration, and we are focusing the attention on wall-related deaths and less attention of the President.
Make sure to carry all proper documentation with you that allows travel to and from Mexico. We will meet at the Sherman Heights Community Center and everyone can carpool as they wish.
Trump’s arrival is slated for 2:00pm, so this may be an all-day event. Please plan accordingly. To RSVP, please email [email protected]
